Latoya Denique,​

Latoya Denique is the CEO of SCAR Alchemy, Atlanta’s premier medical and cosmetic tattoo salon.

With over a decade of experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner, dual degrees from Emory University and a degree from the University of Georgia, Latoya transitioned from the healthcare field to permanent makeup in 2020. After a conversation with a breast cancer patient, Latoya began to search for artists who specialized in paramedical tattoos. What she discovered was a market that was virtually untapped and vastly underrepresented by women of color.

As someone who has struggled with hormonal acne all of her life, Latoya easily relates to the desire and need to feel confident in your skin.  Frustrated by the lack of representation amongst medical tattoo artists, Latoya was inspired to explore the world of cosmetic tattoos.

After months of research, studying industry standards, and taking classes to develop her signature technique, Latoya founded SCAR Alchemy. In as little as 3 years of business, Latoya has helped over 300+ women across the U.S. get their confidence back, with majority of her clients traveling out of state for her services. As the Director of Partnerships for a contracting agency with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Ms. McGregor trained hair stylists and barbers as community influencers in a celebrated national program that aided in significantly reducing incidents of HIV and AIDS in communities with the highest incidents. She has also served as an advisor and board member for multiple organizations and global projects, such as the National Council of Women, Chime for Change, Global Citizens, South African Fellowship, and GUCCI Changemakers Advisory Council. Most recently, Ms. McGregor has served as an integral supporter of the Texas HB403 Bill, which will require school board officials to be formally trained on the signs and prevention of human trafficking.

She is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards including the International Distinguished Humanitarian Leadership award presented at the United Nations, by the United States National Council of Women, the Activism in the Arts Triumph Award from the National Action Network, the Hidden Figure Award from Black Girls Vote, and the 2021 Heirs of Afrika Sankofa Award. Kicking off her career as a television media pro and self-taught makeup artist, Dre has honed her skills and cultivated creative community on-set for over 15 years — collaborating with TV, film, fashion, beauty, and entertainment brands and creators including ELLE Decór, Food Network, Comedy Central, Refinery29, COSMOPOLITAN, COMPLEX, SEVENTEEN, VH1, HBO, E!, ESSENCE, Black Enterprise, Bustle, Unilever, SEPHORA, Macy’s, the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), and celebrity talent including Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Douglas, recording artists K.Michelle, Jason Derulo, Jidenna, and Tinashe, model/actor Tyson Beckford, actresses Dominique Fishback, Lisa Arrindell, and Tatyana Ali, NBA athlete Kevin Durant, rap legend  MC Lyte, actors Marcus Scribner and Omari Hardwick, artist Malene Barnett, and activist Tarana Burke.

Also a gifted writer, content creator, experiential host, and facilitator, Dre’s footprint has extended via editorial contributions on,, and, motivational insights and illustrations  contributed to The Ultimate Empowerment Activity Workbook for Her, and via her work as a speaker, ambassador, curriculum consultant, and youth educator since 2014 for global body care brand DoveⓇ and the DoveⓇ Self-Esteem Project (DSEP). Through this role, Dre has curated dozens of live workshops, keynote speeches, media events, and virtual trainings designed to empower people of all ages. Dre most recently partnered in composing and accrediting the DoveⓇ“My Hair, My CROWN” workshop curriculum to support natural hair confidence in (and allyship in support of) Black and Brown youth.

Brittany Martin is a founding leader and President of Hello Seven who has spent her time with the company bringing the dream of the visionary leader from idea to execution. Brittany has held multiple roles in her tenure with Hello Seven including Business Coach, Marketing Coordinator, Creative Director, Director of Operations, and COO, and she has helped scale the company from seven to eight figures.

Her footprint on the Hello Seven brand extends beyond spearheading strategic direction and executing the company’s vision and culture, and is reflected in her highly transformational and value-driven leadership. Arlan Hamilton, founder at Backstage Capital and, is a serial entrepreneur, author, and prolific speaker.

She founded Backstage Capital in 2015 to invest in founders who are people of color, women and/or LGBTQ. Since its founding, Backstage has raised nearly $30 million and invested in 200 startups led by underestimated founders. Arlan is also the founder of, a startup that connects outstanding employee talent with inclusive companies.

Arlan published her book, “It’s About Damn Time,” in 2020, detailing her journey from homelessness to venture capital trailblazer. Arlan also hosts the popular podcast “Your First Million”, and in 2018, was the first non-celebrity Black woman to grace the cover of Fast Company magazine. Arlan’s latest book, “Your First Million: Why You Don’t Have To Be Born Into A Legacy Of Wealth To Leave One Behind” is available for preorder and will be out on January 2nd, 2024.

Arlan is a big proponent of paying it forward and supporting other underestimated people in the tech industry and beyond. She’s a limited partner in 27 funds led by emerging, underestimated managers, and she and her mother, Mrs. Earline Butler-Sims, have established scholarship programs for Black students at Oxford University, HBCU Dillard University, and Harvard Law.

Alexandra Franzen is a best-selling author, award-winning editor, and entrepreneur. 

Alex has written seven books and is the co-founder of One Idea Books and Gifts, a bookstore that celebrates books written by women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA voices. 

Her work has been mentioned in The New York Times Small Business Blog, The Atlantic, The Los Angeles Times, Fast Company, BuzzFeed, Inc., in Tim Ferriss’ newsletter, and she has appeared on the Peabody Award-winning radio show, Marketplace. 

Alex works with a small number of private clients providing copywriting, ghostwriting, and editing services. She helps her clients to write powerful books that touch readers deeply. Aina’s engaging videos, which teach, inspire, and give confidence to people of every color, have cultivated a loyal and thriving fanbase–over 7.3 million across her social platforms including 3.5 million YouTube subscribers. Jackie has launched inclusive product collaborations with top brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Too Faced, Sigma Beauty, and more.

In 2020, Jackie launched a self care-focused lifestyle brand, FORVR Mood featuring candles and accessories. The brand had a pre-launch wait list of over 45,000 and is sold in Sephora stores nationwide. Jackie further expanded her lifestyle offerings in 2021 with the launch of “Lavishly Jackie” a self-care, home and luxury content vertical across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
